mIRC, a quick startup guide. General Use, Downloading, Customization…

Downloading

Now that you are in a channel, you can type and communicate with others. In addition, you can also download files off of the fserves of others.

Key Note: Before you start using any of the commands I write about below, make sure you read the topic of the channel to see what commands are not allowed. (The Topic is the first message displayed when you join a channel. It is also in the title of the channel window.
You can also see it by typing
!topic

See pic below for more help (triggers introduced below). Click to enlarge.

To get a list of all the fserves in a channel, type !list. Notice that a LOT of stuff may popup.

Now, look for something you want. Basically, look in the descriptions of each item for something that looks like I might have what you want. Alternatively, you can search the fserves by using the command:

@find keyword(s)
Example: If I want to search for Naruto episode 52, I can type in…
@find naruto 52

After using this command, messages from servers will come up in the channel window, and in separate query windows. If they say File Not Found, then that fserve does not have the file. If it lists files that meet your criteria, you need to copy that fserve’s trigger and say it in the channel. In the picture above, you can see how to distinguish a trigger. Simply copy and paste that into the input box(where you type your messages), and press enter.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE USING SYSRESET, DO THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Go to SysReset> Addon Manager
  2. Find fserve_browser.ini
  3. Select fserve_browser.ini
  4. Click load
  5. Click done
  6. NOW YOU CAN FIND A TRIGGER AND ENTER IT, and DOWNLOADING WILL BE EASY!

NOTE: IF YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD OFF NIPPONSEI, check:

There you will find the bot you need to message, how to message the bot, their packlist (list of files), and each pack’s #.

THE REST WILL COME EVENTUALLY
